DAY 1 MONDAY

New York City > Niagara Falls

Discover the beautiful and varied scenery of “the other New York” on a leisurely drive through Pennsylvania and rural upstate New York. Early evening arrival at Niagara Falls.

 

DAY 2 TUESDAY

Niagara Falls > Williamsport Area
(220 m/354 km)
This morning, sightseeing of one of the seven natural wonders of the world: Niagara Falls, where we experience an exhilarating cruise to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls (in winter months, explore the Scenic Tunnels behind the falls instead). After lunch (not included), drive through the rolling farmlands of New York State to Pennsylvania where the journey continues south through the Appalachian Mountains towards Williamsport.

 

DAY 3 WEDNESDAY

Williamsport Area > Pennsylvania Dutch

(247 m/397 km)

Follow the course of the picturesque Susquehanna River, the longest non-navigable river east of the Mississippi, to Harrisburg, capital of Pennsylvania before heading east into Pennsylvania Dutch Country, home to many Amish families. Learn more about how they preserve traditional elements of late 17th-century European rural culture in their day-to-day lives during a visit to an Amish homestead. The tour then continues to Washington, D.C.

 

DAY 4 THURSDAY
Washington, D.C. > New York City

The morning panoramic sightseeing tour is devoted to the landmarks and monuments of this great city: the White House, the Washington Monument, Arlington Cemetery and the U.S. Capitol. Leave very early afternoon for the return to New York.

 

DAY 5 FRIDAY

New York City > Los Angeles
Transfer from the hotel for the flight to Los Angeles (flight is not included in the tour price). Upon arrival at the airport in Los Angeles, transfer to the hotel either via the hotel’s shuttle (Airport Option) or on a seat-in basis(Downtown Option).

 

DAY 6 SATURDAY
Los Angeles
This morning explore Los Angeles during a half-day city tour including the famous Hollywood Boulevard, Graumann’s Chinese Theatre, the “Walk of Fame”, Sunset Strip and Downtown Los Angeles. Afternoon at leisure to relax at the hotel or perhaps to join an optional sightseeing tour.

 

DAY 7 SUNDAY

Los Angeles > Phoenix/Scottsdale

(400 m/644 km)Board the motorcoach in Los Angeles, settle back and enjoy the scenery while traveling through the Mojave Desert across the Colorado River into Arizona. Discover the unique charm of the desert oasis, Phoenix/ Scottsdale, a blend of Southwestern architecture and magnificent saguaro cactus. This is an introduction to the American West!

 

DAY 8 MONDAY

Phoenix / Scottsdale > Sedona > Grand Canyon > Flagstaff Area

This morning the journey continues through the garden desert of Arizona to the lovely city of Sedona and then through Oak Creek Canyon. The area, known for its spectacular landscapes, has been the setting for many movies. The day ends with a visit of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

 

DAY 9 TUESDAY

Flagstaff Area > Monument Valley > Page > Kanab Area

This morning, continue to the Painted Desert and Monument Valley, land of the Navajo Indian. The valley’s unforgettable landscapes include mesas, buttes and rock spires. After Monument Valley, continue along to Page. Later in the afternoon, cross the Colorado River before arriving in Kanab.

 

DAY 10 WEDNESDAY

Kanab area > Bryce Canyon > Zion > Las Vegas

Early morning departure for a visit to a spectacular national park: Bryce Canyon. The canyon has a symphony of colors and shapes that will leave anyone breathless. Continue on to Zion National Park, a popular destination famous for its unique landscapes and majestic plateaus. The wonders continue at the final destination of today: Las Vegas, the city of lights and entertainment.

 

DAY 11 THURSDAY
Las Vegas
Enjoy a day of leisure in Las Vegas. Visit some of the spectacular hotels, take one of the many optional excursions offered or simply relax by the pool. Las Vegas has something for everyone, so take the whole day to explore this worldfamous city.

 

DAY 12 FRIDAY

Las Vegas > Mammoth Lakes

Today, journey through the Mojave Desert before ascending into the High Sierras, and the resort of Mammoth Lakes*. This picturesque resort is famous as both a summer and winter destination, and provides breathtaking scenery and stunning views of surrounding areas.

 

DAY 13 SATURDAY

Mammoth Lakes > Yosemite Area

Travel the short distance through the High Sierras to Yosemite National Park, the most popular natural tourist destination in California. Enjoy the highlights of the park, including Yosemite Valley and its high cliffs and waterfalls. The park is also known for its wildlife: mule, deer, coyotes, chipmunks, blue jays and occasionally even bears.

 

DAY 14 SUNDAY

Yosemite Area > Carmel > 17-Mile Drive > Monterey > San Francisco

(286 m/459 km)Leaving the Yosemite area, travel west to Carmel located on the Pacific Ocean. From this quaint and charming village travel along stunning 17-Mile Drive*, known for its exclusive golf courses, beautiful views and distinctive fauna, to Monterey, California’s first capital. Continue northward to “The City by the Bay”.

 

DAY 15 MONDAY
San Francisco

This morning, enjoy city sightseeing of one of the most beautiful cities in America including highlights such as Union Square, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park and Fisherman’s Wharf with a view of infamous Alcatraz Island across the bay. Afternoon at leisure, or embark on an optional tour to the quaint village of Sausalito
