DAY 1 FRIDAY

Los Angeles

Arrival in Los Angeles and transfer to Beverly Hills by private car. Today is a day at leisure to get acclimatized. Your Tour Leader will be available at the hotel to help you with any information and arrangements.

 

DAY 2 SATURDAY

Los Angeles

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for a full day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Upon arrival at Universal the day is at leisure to explore the “World of Movies and Television”. Take a back lot tour and see the sets of some of the most famous movies ever made, enjoy one of the many live shows or experience the thrilling rides. Lunch at Universal is included and dinner tonight will be at the famous McCormick and Schmick’s in Beverly  ills.

 

DAY 3 SUNDAY

Los Angeles > Palm Springs

Breakfast will be at the hotel prior to departing on a sightseeing tour of Los Angeles. Experience the sights of this diverse city before stopping for lunch at the famous Farm of Beverly Hills at LA Live Center. After lunch, settle back and enjoy the scenery while traveling through the San Bernardino and Coachella Valleys to the beautiful desert oasis of Palm Springs, getaway for the rich and famous. Dinner tonight will be at Copley’s Steakhouse in the heart of Palm Springs.

 

DAY 4 MONDAY

Palm Springs

Breakfast at the resort. Today is a day at leisure to relax and be pampered! Spa treatments will be arranged at the resort along with lunch, and the remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the resort or explore the unique shopping and sights available in Palm Springs. Dinner tonight will be at Miro’s European Restaurant in Palm Springs.

 

DAY 5 TUESDAY

Palm Springs > Williams > Grand Canyon National Park

After breakfast at the resort, board the motorcoach and travel through the spectacular  California and Arizona desert, crossing the mighty Colorado River before arriving in famous Williams, Arizona on Route 66. Lunch will be in Williams at the Winchester Dinner Theater and your day ends at the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Dinner will be at the Thunderbird

restaurant on the Canyon Rim.

 

DAY 6 WEDNESDAY

Grand Canyon National Park > Monument Valley > Page/Lake Powell

Breakfast will be at the Grand Canyon before continuing along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to the Painted Desert and Monument Valley, land of the Navajo Indian. A jeep tour has been arranged to explore the valley’s unforgettable landscapes, including mesas, buttes and rock spires. After enjoying a cook-out lunch, continue along to Page and Lake Powell, crossing the Glen Canyon Dam before arriving at Lake Powell Resort and Marina. Dinner tonight will be in the Rainbow Room at the resort, offering spectacular views of Lake Powell.

 

DAY 7 THURSDAY

Page/Lake Powell > Bryce Canyon National Park > Zion National Park > Las Vegas

Early breakfast at the resort and morning departure for a visit to a spectacular National Park: Bryce Canyon. The canyon has a symphony of colors and shapes that will leave anyone breathless. Continue on to Zion National Park, a popular destination famous for its unique landscapes and majestic plateaus. The wonders continue at the final destination of today, Las Vegas, the city of lights and entertainment. Dinner tonight is not included and the evening is at leisure to relax after a long day or explore this fabulous city.

 

DAY 8 FRIDAY

Las Vegas (416 m/670 km)

Enjoy a day of leisure in Las Vegas. Visit some of the spectacular hotels, take one of the many optional excursions offered or simply relax by the pool. Las Vegas has something for everyone so take the whole day to explore this worldfamous city. Tonight enjoy one of the spectacular Cirque du Soleil shows, LOVE, based upon the music of the Beatles and dinner at the Mirage Resort and Casino.

 

DAY 9 SATURDAY

Las Vegas >  Death Valley National Park

Breakfast will be at Aria Resort before departing on the short journey through the Mojave Desert to Death Valley National Park. Enjoy sightseeing at Zabriskie Point and Badwater, the lowest point below sea level in the Western Hemisphere, before arriving at Furnace Creek Inn. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the resort or relax by the pool, heated by natural hot springs. Dinner tonight will be at the Inn.

 

DAY 10 SUNDAY

Death Valley National Park > Mammoth Lakes > Yosemite National Park

Breakfast will at the Inn, then continue through the Mojave Desert before ascending into the High Sierras, and the resort of Mammoth Lakes. This picturesque resort is famous as both a summer and winter destination, and provides breathtaking scenery and stunning views of surrounding areas. Lunch will be at Mammoth Moguls before continuing the short distance through the High Sierras to Yosemite National Park, the most popular natural tourist destination in California. Dinner tonight will be at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park.

 

DAY 11 MONDAY

Yosemite National Park > San Francisco

Enjoy an early breakfast at the resort before exploring the highlights of the park, including Yosemite Valley and its high cliffs and waterfalls. The park is also known for its wildlife: mule, deer, coyotes, chipmunks, blue jays and occasionally even bears. Lunch will be served in the park before leaving the Yosemite area through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California’s gold country, on the way to “The City by the Bay”. Upon arrival, enjoy city sightseeing of one of the most beautiful cities in America. Highlights include Union Square, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park and Fisherman’s Wharf with a view of infamous Alcatraz Island across the bay. Dinner tonight will be at Neptune’s Palace at the famous Fisherman’s Wharf.

 

DAY 12 TUESDAY

San Francisco

Enjoy Breakfast at the famous Fairmont Hotel before departing for California Wine Country. Cross the San Francisco Bay via the Golden Gate Bridge and pass through the quaint village of Sausalito before starting your tour of some of the most famous wineries in California. Lunch

today will be at one of the wineries and will include fresh produce and local delicacies. Upon returning to San Francisco, the evening is at leisure to experience one of the many fabulous restaurants, ride the cable car or just stroll around the many sights such as Union Square, Nob Hill or Chinatown.

 

DAY 13 WEDNESDAY

San Francisco > Monterey

After breakfast leave San Francisco and travel to Monterey, California’s first capital. Travel along the stunning Pacific Coast and Highway 1, where you will stop for lunch before arriving in the beautiful seaside town of Monterey. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the history and sights of Monterey, once home to John Steinbeck. Dinner tonight is at the Chart House.

 

DAY 14 THURSDAY

Monterey  17 Mile Drive  Santa Barbara  Los Angeles/Beverly Hills

Early breakfast at the resort. En-route to Los Angeles, travel along stunning 17-Mile Drive known for its exclusive golf courses, beautiful views and distinctive fauna. Then visit the quaint and charming village of Carmel before continuing along the California coast where you will enjoy lunch and a visit to Santa Barbara, often referred to as the pearl of the “American Riviera”. The city is known for its Spanish Colonial style architecture, lush vegetation and laid back lifestyle. The tour returns to Los Angeles in the late afternoon to enjoy this evening’s farewell dinner at the famous Asia de Cuba restaurant at the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, where the view of Los Angeles will simply take your breath away.

After breakfast today departure is at leisure via private car.
